01 — The Beginning
Every great story begins with a dream.
Ours began in the toy aisle.
When I was a child, my father would take me to the local toy store after work—the one everyone remembers for the giraffe. We walked the aisles together, discovering new treasures and sharing moments of pure joy.
We did not have much money growing up, so those trips sometimes got us in trouble. My mother would worry about what we spent, and my father and I developed a small ritual: we would hide our new toys when we walked through the door.
It became our secret—a playful act of rebellion fueled by love and by the happiness those toys brought us.
“One day, we should open our own toy store.”
During those trips, my father and I would joke about opening a store of our own: a place filled with everything cute and fun, where we could share that same feeling of discovery with other families.
02 — May 2024
The dream finally became real.
In May 2024, an opportunity appeared that felt like destiny: the chance to purchase Tokiya inside Super G Mart in Pineville.
My father and I looked at each other, remembered those childhood promises, and knew this was our moment. We took the leap.
03 — Built by Family
More than a store.
A family promise kept.
Tokiya is truly a family affair. My father works at the store most days, bringing his lifelong love of toys and a warm welcome to every customer.
My mother joined us too, adding her care and dedication to everything we do. Together, we have built more than a business. We have created a place where people can discover something special and feel like part of the family.
Today, Tokiya is the fulfillment of a promise made between a father and son in the aisles of a toy store.

Made for collectors.
Built for everyone.
Tokiya has grown into a gathering place for families, collectors, first-time fans, and longtime hobbyists. Our events let us meet people beyond the store and share the joy that started this journey.
